So when you first publish an article on your own site and ping it, how long would you wait until you would submit it to another site? Or wouldn´t it be better to have the article with the original text on the website and then spin it for other sites?

There are some people who really gave a big deal with nofollow and dofollow links on their site while some don't mind. Building links to your site should be quality over quantity.
